No, OpenClosit covers dry cleaning at no cost to you.
Yes, roundtrip shipping is free within California and $15 each way outside of state.
Yes, we can offer a free roundtrip mailer within California or $15 for out of state. Be sure to put these items in the mail with enough time to arrive back to us within your rental period.
When you use OpenClosit, you agree to our rental terms which outlines that renters cover any damages or lost items. These fees will be charged to the payment method linked to your account.

Rental prices tend to be around 20% of the retail price, but fluctuate depending on popularity, current trends and how delicate an item is.

A safety deposit fee is charged to your credit card upon renting and refunded as soon as the item is returned and inspected for any damages. This fee helps to ensure items are returned within 7 days. Funds are held as a credit card authorization and renewed on a weekly basis. This credit card authorization may or may not reflect on your credit card statement and bank notifications. Some banks may notify you weekly of the credit card authorization but these are just holds, and we will not charge your deposit without notifying you of a non-return, late return, or damaged return.
Yes, you can rent any item up to 3 months in advance.
If you have requested a rental online and are awaiting our team’s confirmation, you can still withdraw your request at any time. Once your rental has been confirmed we do not offer refunds as we pay our listers (aka, consignors) out as soon as the rental is approved.
